This 25 year old variation of Velvet Fig was made with five sherry casks of single malt from Speyside and the Highlands, as well as 15 sherry hogshead casks for unpeated Bunnahabhain, which were then filled into refill hosgheads to marry. The bottling was comprised of a selection of malt whiskies that were matured solely in ex-oloroso Sherry casks, the effect of which were notes of sultanas, dates and, well, figs. Aromas of rich blackcurrant jam, toffee, oak, aromatic spices and cigar box are balanced on the nose.
