This whisky consists largely of malted barley and matured in ex-bourbon, American oak, ex-sherry and Mizunara oak barrels. The barrels are stored in the immediate vicinity of the distillery, where highly fluctuating weather conditions ensure exceptional maturation. Elderberry harmonizes with grapefruit and exotic spices.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinish : Medium length, with impressions of green apples and pine nuts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eAbout Sakurao \u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSakurao was founded in 2018 by liquor company Chugoku Juzo. Chugoku Juzo was established in 1918 and at the time the main production was Shochu, Sake, Mirin and various liqueurs. They started 'producing' whisky in 1938 and until the liquor tax change of 1989, their field was 'budget' whisky.
