This was distilled in 1976 and bottled in 1989 by distillery proprietors Justerini \u0026amp; Brooks. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKnockando tastes amazing however due to the other brands being marketed a great deal more, it is one of the lesser heard of whiskies that was a blend churn and due to whisky not being what it is today and how we review and talk about it, it was sort of side-lined for a while. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAbout Knockando\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnother of the railway distilleries, Knockando was built in 1898.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cp\u003eKnockando is fairly typical of the style of the period when blenders were looking for lighter styles from the region. It has served as the ‘home’ of the J\u0026amp;B blend ever since. Following IDV’s merger with United Distillers it became part of Diageo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough it remains a central player within J\u0026amp;B, Knockando has some pedigree as a single malt, mainly at 12-years-old, and was unusual in its habit of stating both the season and years of distillation and bottling date.
