Each cask gives its own flavour notes, delivering a unique complex single malt whisky revered by connoisseurs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA smooth texture with a rich taste that starts sweet, then dries elegantly, with some spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) leaving a hint of dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Water introduces caramel and sweetens the taste overall.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was left in tatters, and - after a long compensation battle involving the House of Lords - the distillery was brought back online in 1922.
