Jack Daniel’s aged series are older, higher proof versions of standard Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7. It’s released alongside a 12 year old version, and new in 2025, a 14 year old version. So far, the company has proofed their aged whiskey according to the age statement, with 10 year being the lowest proof whiskey in the collection and 14 year being the highest.

While Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Batch 3 was more oak-forward, this year's batch delivers a nice balance of sweet and dry oak flavors. The nose delivers an aroma that is full of pleasing sweet scents that mingle really nicely together. The midpoint is punctuated by a creamy caramel sweetness that helps its buttery mouthfeel. As you dissect the flavors, more spiced and dry notes appear, which are punctuated in the finish. In Jack Daniel’s Aged Series in 2025, Batch 4 of Jack Daniel’s 10 Year delivers a balanced, flavorful sip.

Compared to this year’s 12 year and 14 year versions, it delivers a slightly less in-your-face sip, but this can be chalked up to being the youngest and lowest proof of the three. Providing a balanced overall sip, fans of Jack Daniel’s will be pleased to see that even though the brand continues to release higher proof and higher aged whiskeys, the aged Jack Daniel’s that kicked off the trend 4 years ago continues to deliver.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE
Baking spices | Banana flambe | Caramel | Maple sugar candy | Barrel char | Nougat

PALATE
Creamy caramel | Light rye spice | Dry charred oak | Brown butter | White peppercorn spice | Buttery mouthfeel

FINISH
Rye spice | Caramel | Dry charred oak | Leather | Light white peppercorn spice | Lingering dry spice

About Jack Daniel's

Jack Daniel's is the best-selling American whiskey in the world. Despite that fact it can legally be categorised as a straight bourbon, it has always shunned this title, preferring to market itself as a Tennessee Whiskey. These are similar to straight bourbons but have the additional requirement of having been filtered through maple wood charcoal, a practice known as the Lincoln County Process. History has not always given the distillery an easy ride though. Tennessee was an early adopter of Prohibition in 1910, and one of the last to repeal it in 1938 (five years later than the repeal at Federal level). Even today the distillery is still located in a "dry" county, meaning none of its products are sold in its hometown or those around it. The distillery was then only operational for four years before being forced to close again during the second world war. Ten years later it was purchased by the Brown-Forman corporation and its fortunes turned for good. Its classic black-labelled Old No.7 brand (named after the distillery’s original DSP number) is now a globally recognised product.

48.5% ABV

70cl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0941/9495/8661/files/JackDaniel_s10YearOldBatch4TennesseeWhiskey_2025_70cl.jpg?v=1758032020
https://b1yyjg-bk.myshopify.com/products/copy-jack-daniels-10-year-old-batch-4-tennessee-whiskey-2025-70cl
