For Cohobé, we work with the best cereal growers, not far from the Cognac region, where we make our whisky. France has always been a land of cereals: the Gauls perfectly mastered the cultivation of barley. In this, Cohobé is the centuries-old heritage of the art of French grain. Malting is also carried out in France, as is the entire Cohobé production.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe art of double distillation\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike Cognac, Cohobé whisky is a product of double distillation in a small alambic or still. It’s an imperative condition to guarantee the highest quality. After the first pass-through, the brouilli (or the first distillation) of Cohobé, is passed through the alambic again to obtain a perfect concentration of aromas. But that is not enough to obtain a great whisky: one still has to carefully select which part of the brouilli will be redistilled.
